What inspired this technology?

Voice interaction just makes sense...

Our journey began with mapping bike lanes in the Bay Area, where we discovered a fundamental challenge: collecting accurate infrastructure data at scale is painfully inefficient. The solution was obvious: voice + RTK.
 â€‹

So we built our own tooling to rapidly and cheaply assess infrastructure assets like sidewalks and street lights. Our testing has been so successful and the results so compelling that we quickly realized we'd developed something far beyond our initial scope.

What started as a solution for better bike maps has evolved into a powerful idea for modernizing field data collection across urban infrastructure.

Using Speech to Create a Sustainable world.

Our passion for data quality runs deep. Before founding this company, we built scalable data labeling systems in AI and Machine Learning at Deepgram, helping grow the company from $1M to $30M ARR.

But while working with speech data is fascinating, we realized the real world – our infrastructure, our cities, our environment – desperately needs better data collection systems.

We're not just modernizing field work; we're actually returning to humanity's most natural form of documentation: speaking. The stakes are particularly high now: in an era of climate change and increasing costs (related things) we need to manage and maintain our infrastructure more efficiently than ever.

Better data leads to better decisions, and better decisions help us make the most of our limited resources.
